AI reflections can be mistaken and do not replace pastoral care, counseling, or medical advice. Read the supplied passages in context. Questions are sent to the configured AI provider; avoid personal details you do not want to share. Five free completed answers per browser per week, resetting Sunday at 00:00 UTC. Network and site-wide capacity limits also apply.

What Bible Chat can do

Bible Chat is designed to help you begin exploring a passage, rather than make a decision for you. Ask for a plain-language explanation, identify a question you want to discuss with a reading group, or reflect on a theme such as forgiveness. A specific reference gives the service a clearer starting point than a broad request about your future. Suggestions in the form are editable examples, not completed AI answers.

How answers are grounded in Scripture

When available, the service retrieves authentic KJV or WEB passages before sending your question to the configured AI provider. An answer must cite passages from that supplied set. References link to the full chapter so you can check the surrounding text yourself. The service does not silently replace one translation with another, and it rejects responses with unsupported citations.

A correct reference does not guarantee a correct interpretation. Ask who the passage addresses and what happens before and after it. Compare the answer with the chapter, and bring difficult questions to a trusted pastor, teacher, or reading group. AI reflections are not pastoral counseling or professional advice.

Read without waiting for Bible Chat

The Bible verse finder accepts a reference or keyword and returns real source text without an AI provider. For example, search for John 3:16, Psalm 23, or a word you remember from a passage. The chapter reader lets you continue through the surrounding book. Both tools are free and available while AI activation is pending.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bible Chat available now?

This page shows the current availability above the question form. AI reflections remain unavailable until a provider is configured and checked. The verse finder, complete chapters, and daily readings work without AI.

What can I ask Bible Chat?

Start with a specific passage, such as John 3:16, or a topic such as forgiveness or strength. The service supplies up to six real passages to the AI provider. If it cannot find useful source context, it asks for a clearer reference or topic instead of inventing a passage.

Are Bible Chat answers the Bible itself?

No. An answer is an AI reflection that can contain mistakes. Scripture citations are checked against the supplied passages, but that check does not establish that an interpretation is correct. Open the full chapter and compare the explanation with the source text.

How are free answers counted?

When enabled, five successful answers are available per browser per week, resetting Sunday at 00:00 UTC. The allowance is enforced on the server. Provider failures do not use that weekly allowance, but count toward network and site-wide daily capacity.

Does Orahly save my questions?

Orahly does not save question or answer text on its server. The configured AI provider processes the question and supplied passages. Browser allowance metadata is kept separately; avoid including sensitive personal information in a question.
